Elena???

So all kids have these moments from time to time I know.....and Elena is no exception...
Elena had a little moment..or should I say about an hour or so of regression tonight. Here are some pictures of her in Ian's high chair, wanting a "ba ba"= okay here is a water bottle, wanting to "sleep in the crib" = not so much happening, wanting to eat off the tray = okay, wanting to be "carried and rocked" = carried for a short walk through the house... But I have these photos to remember these fun little times for when she is bigger ; )  By the way she wanted me to take these photos for her as she loves her photos taken and enjoys hamming it up for the camera.

Week 3 of Elena's school = the letter c!

Napa

This weekend we went to Napa for a little family reunion. The kids had a great time together as did all of the adults. Very successful trip and hopefully we do it again soon..it's always hard to get everyone together all at the same time..but when it happens it is a great time. With Dad's family it use to be that the boys out numbered the girls...but not any more the score is 6 -6.  Ian had a good time sleeping in our bed and getting lugged by all who would lug him around. All of the "big boy's / brothers" actually all went out and saw a game together..who knows when the last time was they all went out and got to be together.

Week 2 - B

The letter of the week was B. Elena had her 2nd week of school before Napa and she practiced the letter B and also went to the beach for a field trip.

How to tame children

Mix children + 1 laundry basket per child and you get some content and contained kids..he, he.

We have really been enjoying the summer months. Most days are spent outside almost all day long.

This week Elena is learning about the letter "A". Pretty good for her 2nd week of school!

She came home last week saying "red spells red" and "firetrucks are red, and when you see one you should stop".

Elena's 1st Day

So it is official...Elena is really growing up. She had her first day at pre -pre school today (meaning she will attend 2 years of pre- k ). She enjoyed herself and made some new friends. The teacher said she did great once we left and she even let dolly be in her cubby all day (that is huge for her as that is her safety item).
