Elena and Ian: April 2016

Daddy Daughter

D and Elena got some special bonding time in recently. While doing so they made some nature crafts that they got the idea from a book from Uncle Bjorn. Here the fairies are:

2 black sexlinks (oldest ones)- one of which is named Cutlas per Ian the other doesnt have a name yet, 1 buff orpington (Goldie), 2 plymouth barred rocks (Sprinkles ans Sparkles) and 1 easter egger (Gandolph the bearded lady)..all should produce brown eggs except the easter egger whos should be blue or green in color. We are estimating 1400 eggs per year. They are growing fast and are often escaping or trying to at the least. They will move out of the indoors and into their coop within the next few weeks.

On 4/3 we had (2) 2 week old chicks dropped off as well as (4) 1 week old chicks drop at our house. It has been a LOONG time coming..we got the research done, the coop built, run done and got them finally into our home and hopefully producing eggs by sometime in August if all goes well and as planned.

Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Ian's first ever Preschool Easter egg hunt. While he didnt find many he had lots of fun trying and got tuckered out playing with friends in the process of looking ; )
